African Action Congress Requests Presidential Villa for Campaign Launch
The African Action Congress (AAC) has asked President Bola Tinubu for permission to hold the inauguration of its Presidential Campaign Council at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The party plans to conduct the event on November 11, 2026, as part of its preparations for the upcoming 2027 general elections.
In a letter dated October 21, 2026, and signed by National Secretary Oshiokhue Philip Ikpeminoghena, the AAC requested logistical support for about 5,000 participants. This includes food, drinks, and other necessary arrangements for attendees coming from both Nigeria and abroad.
The AAC noted that their request aligns with similar support reportedly given to the All Progressives Congress (APC) for a comparable political event. They emphasized that granting this request would show the government’s commitment to fairness and equal treatment of all political parties.
The party expressed hope for a positive response and asked for details on the procedures and conditions for approval. The letter was directed to the President at the Presidential Villa.
Omoyele Sowore is the AAC’s candidate for the upcoming election.
