Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin Lauds Tinubu at 74; Predicts Massive Victory in January 2027 Presidential Polls

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a “transformational leader” whose impact will be felt for generations. Senator Barau released a glowing tribute, “flipping the script” on political uncertainty by predicting a landslide victory for the incumbent in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued by his media office, Barau described the President as an audacious captain who has steered the Nigerian ship through turbulent economic waters. He argued that the current administration’s “Solution” to national growth which includes high-impact reforms and massive infrastructure projects has earned the trust of the grassroots. “I have no doubt that by this time next year, Mr. President will already be the President-elect for his second term,” Barau stated, pointing toward the INEC election date of January 16, 2027.

The celebration was notably spiritual, as the President had requested a low-key anniversary. Senator Barau joined the Sultan of Sokoto and other top dignitaries at the National Mosque in Abuja for a special prayer session where the Holy Qur’an was recited 111 times for the nation’s peace and the President’s health. Barau noted that this “subdued” approach shows a leader who is more concerned with the welfare of his citizens than with personal festivities.

As the political atmosphere begins to heat up ahead of next year’s polls, the Deputy Senate President’s comments signal a unified front within the APC leadership. By linking the President’s 74th birthday to a guaranteed 2027 win, Barau has sent a clear message to the opposition: the ruling party believes its “visionary” track record has already secured the path to a second term.
