Finance Ministry Finally Drops the Millions for Super Eagles’ AFCON Bonuses to Stop Any ‘Money Fighting’ in Camp!

Finance Ministry Finally Drops the Millions for Super Eagles’ AFCON Bonuses to Stop Any ‘Money Fighting’ in Camp!

The Super Eagles can now breathe a sigh of relief and focus entirely on the ball. The Federal Ministry of Finance has officially given the “green light” and released the funds needed to pay all their bonuses and allowances for the ongoing 2026 AFCON.

The Finance Minister, Wale Edun, confirmed that the money has been moved to make sure the players are happy and motivated. For years, Nigerian football has been shadowed by stories of players refusing to train because they hadn’t been paid. This time, the government is moving fast to make sure that doesn’t happen in Morocco.

In a move to keep things “clean and fast,” the Ministry didn’t just hand the cash over to the football federation. Instead, the money went straight to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). From there, it is being sent directly into the bank accounts of the players and their coaches.

“Our boys are representing the pride of the nation,” a spokesperson for the ministry said. “They shouldn’t be worried about their bank balances; they should be worried about bringing that trophy home.”

With the cash now safely on its way, the Super Eagles have no more excuses. The fans are waiting, the bills are paid, and the road to the AFCON final is wide open!
