President Bola Tinubu Set to Visit Ogun State and Meet Paramount Rulers on Thursday
In a scheduled visit to Ogun State, President Bola Tinubu is expected to arrive on Thursday, July 29, subject to any unforeseen changes. Currently celebrating Eid-el-Kabir in Lagos State, President Tinubu will be heading to Abeokuta, where he will meet with the Alake of Egba, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, and the Awujale of Ijebu, Oba Sikiru Adetona.
Confirmation of the president’s visit was provided by Babatunde Olaotan, an aide to Governor Dapo Abiodun, who sent a notice to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State. Olaotan extended an invitation to APC supporters to warmly welcome President Tinubu to the Gateway State, stating that the visit will take place on June 29, 2023, in both Abeokuta and Ijebu-Ode.
According to the notice, APC supporters in Abeokuta and its surroundings should gather at the Ake Palace at 8am, while those in Ijebu-Ode should assemble at the Awujale’s palace by 12pm.
The purpose of President Tinubu’s visit is likely to express gratitude to the paramount rulers for their support during the election and the success of his campaign.
