President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has offered warm congratulations to former Vice President, Arc. Mohammed Namadi Sambo, on his forthcoming investiture with the revered traditional title of Sardaunan Zazzau by the Zazzau Emirate.

The turbaning ceremony, slated for Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Emir’s Palace in Zaria, will see the former Vice President conferred with one of the most prestigious traditional titles in Northern Nigeria by the Emir of Zazzau, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli.

In a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described the honour as a well-deserved recognition of Sambo’s exemplary career.

The title of Sardaunan Zazzau, a position of great cultural and historical significance in Northern Nigeria, reflects the Emirate’s confidence in the former Vice President’s wisdom, integrity, and commitment to society’s progress,” the President stated.

President Tinubu further lauded the former VP for his long-standing record of humility, statesmanship, and dedication to humanity, noting that the traditional title underscores his deep-rooted service to both his community and the nation at large.

The President also commended the Emir of Zazzau for maintaining the noble tradition of honouring individuals whose character and patriotism embody the Emirate’s values. Extending his best wishes to the former Vice President in his new role, President Tinubu urged the Sardaunan Zazzau to continue his commitment to national unity, encouraging him to keep inspiring and guiding the younger generation while collaborating closely with traditional and community leaders to advance peace and development across the country.
