Kano University Flushes Out 60 Students Over Exam Cheating; Management Vows to Protect Certificate Integrity!
The hammer has fallen on 60 students in Kano as a prominent state university officially showed them the exit door for trying to “short-cut” their way to a degree. The students were expelled after being caught red-handed in various acts of examination misconduct that have left the academic community in shock.
The university’s Senate made the tough call after reviewing a “black book” of evidence compiled by the Examination Malpractice Committee. From smuggling “micro-chips” (small cheat notes) to using smartphones and even hiring “mercenaries” to write exams for them, the expelled students were found to have violated the most sacred rules of the institution.
“We are not just a certificate-issuing house; we are a molder of character,” an official from the university stated. The management made it clear that keeping these students would be an insult to the thousands of others who stay up all night studying the right way.
This mass expulsion is being seen as a “house cleaning” exercise to restore the university’s reputation. The names of the affected students have reportedly been removed from the school’s portal, and they have been banned from stepping foot on the campus as students ever again.
While the news has been a bitter pill for the affected families, many other students have hailed the move, saying it’s time to stop those who think they can “buy or cheat” their way to the top.
