GTBank Announces Nationwide Early Closure for Half-Year Audit on Monday, June 30

Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) Limited has announced that all its branches across Nigeria will close earlier than usual on Monday, June 30, 2025. The early closure is to facilitate the bank’s scheduled half-year audit activities.

The bank communicated this temporary change in operation hours to its customers via an email sent on Saturday, June 28. “Please be informed that our branches nationwide will close to customers early on Monday, June 30, 2025 for our half-year audit,” the statement read.

Specific closure times were outlined, with branches in upcountry locations (outside Lagos) slated to close by 2:00 p.m., while those within Lagos will cease operations by 3:00 p.m.

GTBank encouraged its customers to utilize its robust digital banking channels, including mobile banking apps, internet banking, and ATMs, for all their transactions during the period of early closure. The bank assured customers that normal branch operations will resume at regular business hours on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

This practice of early closure for half-year and year-end audits is common among financial institutions to allow for proper reconciliation and statutory compliance. GTBank appreciated its customers’ understanding and continued patronage during the audit period.
