NYSC DG: Corps Members to Receive N77,000 Monthly Allowance Soon
Corps members across Nigeria will soon begin receiving a new monthly allowance of N77,000, according to Brigadier General YD Ahmed, Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
The announcement, made on Tuesday and signed by the Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, confirmed that arrangements for the payment have been finalized.
In a statement, Ahmed assured corps members of the NYSC’s commitment to their welfare. He emphasized that the improved allowance reflects efforts to prioritize their well-being and ensure their service is adequately supported.
Commitment to Welfare
Speaking during an event in Abuja, Ahmed also acknowledged the donation of a bus by Capital Express Insurance Company. He noted that the vehicle would help address transportation challenges faced by corps members and NYSC staff in the Federal Capital Territory.
Expressing gratitude, Ahmed praised the long-standing partnership between the NYSC and Capital Express Insurance Company, describing the donation as a testament to the firm’s support for the scheme.

Matthew Ogwezhi, Chief Executive Officer of Capital Express Insurance Company, highlighted the company’s enduring collaboration with the NYSC. He described the donation as part of the benefits arising from their synergy and reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to supporting the NYSC’s objectives.
The increase in allowances and the continuous support from partners like Capital Express Insurance underscore the NYSC’s efforts to enhance the experience of corps members during their service year.
