ADC Slams Opposition Leaders for Being ‘Too Weak’ to Challenge APC in 2027
With the 2027 general elections drawing closer, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has thrown down the gauntlet, accusing Nigeria’s opposition leaders of “sleeping on the bicycle” while the citizens are screaming for a new direction.
In a candid assessment of the political landscape, the ADC’s top brass warned that if something doesn’t change fast, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) might just “cruise” to another victory not because they are unbeatable, but because the alternative is currently a mess. According to the party’s National Chairman, Ralph Nwosu, the average Nigerian is already “fully charged” and ready to head to the polls today, but the leaders supposed to guide them are still busy fighting internal wars.
“The people are ready, but the leaders are not,” the party stated, highlighting a frustrating gap between the public’s hunger for change and the opposition’s lack of a unified plan. The ADC is worried that while voters are looking for a “Mega Party” to rally behind, most opposition figures are still stuck in small-circle politics, protecting their own little “kingdoms” instead of building a national fortress.
There is also a darker side to the delay. The ADC hinted that the “unpreparedness” of some leaders might not be accidental. They suggested that the ruling party has successfully planted “spies” and “stoppers” within various opposition camps to ensure they never truly unite.
The party, which has recently become a “safe haven” for defecting lawmakers and disgruntled “Obidients,” insists that the time for “lone wolf” politics is over. They are calling for an immediate and sincere fusion of all “patriotic” forces to create a platform that the APC cannot ignore or intimidate.
For the ADC, the message is simple: Nigerians have already done their part by staying resilient and demanding better governance. Now, it’s up to the “Big Names” in the opposition to stop the ego trips, drop the secret agendas, and build the house they promised the people.
