Man, 31, Arrested in Edo Over Alleged Killing of Girlfriend

A 31-year-old man, Festus Odunayo, has been apprehended by police in Edo State for allegedly killing his girlfriend, Martha Aina. The arrest follows an investigation into the suspicious death of the young woman.

Confirming the arrest on Tuesday, the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Chidi Nwabuzor, stated that the incident occurred in Benin City. According to police reports, Martha Aina was found dead under circumstances that pointed to foul play, leading to a swift investigation by the command.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the deceased was in a romantic relationship with the suspect, Festus Odunayo.
