PDP Leader Says Coalition is Key to Removing APC in Imo State Election

Sen. Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has stated that the partnership between the PDP and the Rainbow Coalition is the only way to remove the current administration in Imo State during the 2027 election. He made these comments in Owerri on Thursday through his media adviser, Ikenna Onuoha.

Anyanwu criticized those who are worried about the coalition, calling them election riggers whose methods have been blocked. He urged them to feel ashamed for letting down the people of Imo.

He claimed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo is fearful of the PDP and the Rainbow Coalition. He pointed out that recent statements from APC leaders, which dismissed the coalition’s relevance, show their frustration and confusion.

According to Anyanwu, the APC has failed to address key issues in the state, such as poor rural roads, outdated hospitals, and the ongoing strike by university lecturers. He expressed disappointment that the current government has not fulfilled its promises, leaving residents hungry and dissatisfied.

He reminded the APC leaders that the people of Imo are aware of their failures and will not be misled again. Anyanwu urged the APC to recognize that the PDP and the Rainbow Coalition are now seen as the viable alternative for the people of Imo.
