Jigawa Government Refutes Claims of House Allocation to Kannywood Actors

The Jigawa State Government has denied claims that it allocated houses in the Danmodi Housing Estate to popular musician Dauda Kahutu Rarara and the Triple R group. This response comes after a video surfaced online where Rarara and others appeared to suggest that they received these houses from the governor.

Dady Ringim, a media aide to Governor Umar Namadi, called the allegations false and baseless. He made these comments while addressing the backlash on social media, which included criticism from opposition figures.

One notable critic, Zakari Kafin Hausa, a former aide to the governor and a candidate for the upcoming House of Representatives election, questioned the reported allocation. He expressed concerns over the use of public funds for the housing project and criticized the administration’s decisions.

In response to the criticism, Ringim defended the governor’s record, stating that the housing estate was built for the benefit of the public and that the claims by Rarara were meant to highlight the governor’s achievements. He emphasized that the housing estate is open to all citizens who meet the necessary requirements.

Ringim also urged political figures to verify information before making accusations, warning against spreading misinformation. He expressed confidence that the governor’s accomplishments would resonate with voters, particularly the youth, and contribute to a positive legacy.

The controversy has sparked significant discussion on social media regarding the management of public housing projects in Jigawa State.
