Ekiti Federal University of Technology Sets Resumption Dates for New Academic Year

The Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences in Iyin-Ekiti has announced that returning students will resume on Monday, October 12, 2026, for the 2026/2027 academic session. This information was shared by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Gbenga Aribisala, in a statement released on Saturday.

The university started its academic year on January 5, 2026, and completed its first session in August. Aribisala expressed satisfaction with the completion of the first academic session and emphasized the importance of a smooth academic experience for students.

Fresh students will be welcomed on Monday, November 2, 2026. The Vice-Chancellor highlighted the university’s commitment to maintaining a stable academic calendar, which includes timely examinations and results processing.

Aribisala stated, “The university is committed to ensuring that students progress through their programmes without unnecessary disruption or delay.” He also mentioned that the management aims to strengthen academic delivery and create a supportive environment for teaching, learning, and research.
