NSCDC Tracks Stolen Motorcycle to Hideout, Arrests Key Syndicate Accomplice in Kano

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano State have arrested a 45-year-old suspected accomplice linked to a syndicate specializing in motorcycle theft across the metropolis.

The suspect, identified as Mustafa Sani, was apprehended at his residence along Abacha Street in the Gaida area of Kumbotso Local Government Area following intelligence-led tracking by security personnel.

Confirming the arrest in an official statement, the command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Abdullahi, revealed that officers tracked a stolen motorbike bearing Jigawa registration number GRR 958 QB directly to Sani’s home.

According to the security agency, preliminary investigations showed that the recovered motorcycle had been reported stolen from the parking premises of a hospital at Rijiyar Zaki, situated along Gwarzo Road in Kano.

A thorough search of the suspect’s residence led to the recovery of the stolen motorbike alongside license plates and other incriminating items used by the criminal network to alter vehicle identities before reselling them.

The NSCDC confirmed that Sani is currently in custody as investigators work to identify and arrest other members of the theft ring, reassuring residents that security patrols across high-risk areas in Kano will be sustained to safeguard lives and property.
