Reno Omokri Warns Atiku Could Lose Adamawa Support if He Joins Peter Obi; Dele Momodu Blasts Him for ‘Dividing the Opposition’
The road to the 2027 elections is already getting very “hot” on social media. This weekend, two popular voices in Nigerian politics, Reno Omokri and Dele Momodu, went head-to-head over the future of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.
It all started when Reno Omokri posted a warning to Atiku. He claimed that if Atiku decides to run for President again with Peter Obi as his Vice President, the people of Adamawa State might turn their backs on him. Omokri believes that political moods in the North have changed and that an Atiku-Obi pairing “won’t fly” in the home state of the Waziri.
But Dele Momodu did not take this lightly. The famous journalist and publisher “slammed” Omokri, telling him to stop creating division. Momodu argued that Atiku and Obi are strong together and that the most important thing for the 2027 race is for the opposition to stay united under their new party, the ADC. “They are not adversaries,” Momodu said, insisting that a joint ticket is what many Nigerians want to see.
While Atiku and Obi have not yet announced their final plans, their recent move to the same political party has made everyone talk. As the debate continues online, many are waiting to see if these two “political giants” will truly join hands or if the warnings from people like Omokri will keep them apart.
