Five Families Thrown Into Mourning After Horror Gombe Crash; Governor Inuwa Yahaya Orders Immediate Safety Shake-up!
A dark cloud has fallen over Gombe State following a devastating road accident that has left five people dead and many others fighting for their lives in the hospital.
The accident, which happened on a busy stretch of the highway, involved a high-speed collision that left the vehicles involved in a tangled heap of metal. Witnesses at the scene described it as “total chaos” as passersby rushed to pull survivors from the wreckage before the emergency teams arrived.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya, visibly moved by the tragedy, issued a statement late today sending his prayers to the families who lost their loved ones. “This is a tragedy that touches all of us,” the Governor said. “To lose five lives in a single moment is a heavy burden for our state to bear.”
As the injured receive treatment at the Gombe State Specialist Hospital, the Governor has wasted no time in demanding answers. He has ordered the Federal Road Safety Corps and the police to find out exactly what went wrong whether it was bad roads, a mechanical fault, or reckless driving.
For now, the state remains in a somber mood. The Governor has reminded all drivers that “getting there late is better than not getting there at all,” begging motorists to slow down and stay alert as they travel across the state this month.
