Kaduna Governor Unveils 34 New Officials in Massive Government Restructuring
Governor Senator Uba Sani of Kaduna State has approved the appointment of 34 new officials into various boards, parastatals, and advisory roles, in a major administrative shake-up aimed at strengthening his government and boosting public service efficiency across the state.
The announcement, made today, Sunday, November 2, 2025, through a statement from the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, detailed that the appointments were meticulously selected to bring “innovative and resourceful professionals” into key areas of the state’s socio-economic and political re-engineering.
The list of appointees includes top positions across crucial sectors. In the education sector, Dr. Suwaiba Shehu Ibrahim Mni was named the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Senior Secondary Schools Education Board (KSSSEB), alongside several permanent board members. The move is seen as a strategic push to enhance the quality of secondary education in the state.
The administration also prioritized vocational training and youth empowerment, creating dedicated advisory and executive roles. Murjanatu Sulaiman Shika, an academic, was appointed Special Adviser on Vocational Training and Skills Development, while new deputies and a Registrar were named for the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development (IVTSD).
Other strategic appointments include Mallam El-Said Yakubu Lere as the Board Chairman of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), and Mal. Lawal Usman, an educationist, taking the helm as Chairman of the Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board (KSSLB), signaling the Governor’s focus on media revitalization and education financing. Key advisory roles, such as Special Adviser on Legal Matters, were also filled to bolster the Governor’s administrative team.
Governor Sani emphasized that the diversity in the professional and ethnic backgrounds of the 34 appointees underscores his administration’s commitment to an inclusive and merit-based approach to governance. He charged all the new officials to see their appointments not as a privilege, but as a solemn call to duty, urging them to carry out their responsibilities with the utmost diligence, fairness, and dedication to the people of Kaduna State.
