Governor Oborevwori Visits Okuama After Tragic Incidents
Following the tragic killings of both military officers and civilians in the Okuama community of Ughelli South Local Government Area, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori embarked on a visit to assess the damage firsthand.
Despite his intentions to engage with the community, journalists were denied access by the military Joint Task Force (JTF). The JTF enforced strict barricades, including an armored personnel carrier tank, blocking entry points and effectively preventing media personnel from reaching Okuama.
Upon arrival, Governor Oborevwori met with Major General Jamaal Abdulsalam, the leader of the military JTF, for a closed-door discussion lasting approximately one hour.
